Access & Clear Event Log

  1. Go to the Home Screen
  2. Press and hold the left “alt” key
  3. While holding the left “alt” key, type “L,G,L,G
  4. This will pull up the event log.
  5. Press the blackberry button
  6. Select Clear Log
  7. Select delete
  8. Then hit the red end button to exit too the main screen

**WHY DO THIS? **

Clearing the event log once a day will allow your blackberry to run more efficiently

How to Reset your Phone with out doing a Battery Pull:

On the keyboard, press and old the left “alt” button, the right “alt” button and the “del” button all at once.  The red motivation light will appear, and your phone will reset.

Perform the following steps to backup and restore the Contact Lists with BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.

Backup

  1. In the BlackBerry Messenger application, display the menu, and click Options.
  2. In the Contact List section, select Back Up. This will display 2 options:

  1. In the BlackBerry Messenger application, display the menu, and click Options.
  2. In the Contact List section, select Restore.
    1. “Restore using email” will restore the contact list via the registered email address chosen in the backup stage.
    2. “Restore using a backup file from the devce” will restore the contact list via the backup saved locally in the device memory or on a media card.
